Brief Summary of Key Facts: Highly Sensitive Persons

Understanding what it means to be an HSP

I first wrote this booklet to help my clients understand more about what it meant to be an HSP and to dispel some of the myths and thinking errors. Like, for example, that you are "too sensitive" or that there is "something wrong with you". Have you ever been told this? Well, these things are not true. I invite you to create some space for yourself to dip under the covers a little more about who you truly are and to give yourself a moment to consider that maybe, just maybe, being an HSP offers gifts. Gifts the world needs.

Please enjoy and I wish you the best.

Warmest wishes

Joanne

HSP Coaching DOES Model Highly Sensitive Persons

I’m Joanne Ostler, a fellow Highly Sensitive (HSP) and a certified HSP coach.

I love helping other HSPs learn about and accept themselves more so they can feel calmer, more at ease, more fulfilled, and more comfortable day-to-day.

Having a coach is like having a trusted thinking partner who will help you navigate your way through challenges in this increasingly complex and unpredictable world.

Coaching is a way through the loops and confusion of life. Together, we create space to pause, reflect, and move forward with clarity, courage, and confidence.

CLIENT PRAISE

Jo has guided me on a journey that has not only been a joy but also a huge learning about myself as an HSP.

After our calls I always felt like I could do and be anything! An unforgettable experience, thank you.’

I felt like I was overly sensitive to everything and didn’t know how to move forward.

I started coaching because I felt stuck in my personal life and professional role. I felt like I was overly sensitive to everything and didn’t know how to move forward. I was deeply dissatisfied with everything in my life and didn’t know who I was anymore. It was very difficult for me to open up and I was aware I was selectively revealing odd layers of myself, a little here and a little there. I had decided I would be open to what was suggested even if I had reservations about what I was doing. My feeling was, nothing else I had tried was working, I needed to be open to alternatives. What did I have to lose by trying?

What surprised me most was the rapport we built so quickly. My willingness to trust you. I broke through that brick wall. I realised I was ok, that life was ok, that I actually like the adventure and I was enjoying the long overdue acknowledgement of the work I had done and the knowledge and skills I have.

What’s next? Exciting isn’t it! Things are looking good. With your help I gained the courage to follow my intuition again and trust it. Jo, you have also guided me in a way no one has been able to. I never resented you prodding me for an answer when normally I would probably have shut down. There was a little humorous recognition in myself when I became aware you were asking me the same thing in slightly different ways. I find it hard to put into words what the past months have been like: painful, exciting, confusing, frustrating, insightful and bizarre are a few. And how instrumental you have been getting me through to the other side. It is not an exaggeration to say I think you went above and beyond what was expected. All I can say is, the universe works in mysterious ways and I’m glad I followed my hunch to contact you.
