Navigating Tranistions:
Frequently Asked Questions

What does it mean to be a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) in leadership?. . .

Being highly sensitive means your nervous system processes information deeply. As a leader, this can give you strengths — empathy, intuition, attention to detail — but it can also feel overwhelming in fast-paced, high-pressure, or politically charged environments. Coaching helps you recognise sensitivity as a strength while learning to manage the challenges.

How is HSP Leadership Coaching different from regular leadership coaching? . . .

While all my coaching is confidential and tailored, HSP Leadership Coaching is designed with your sensitivity in mind. We focus on your experience of HSP, your energy management, resilience, and strategies for navigating environments that might feel draining, without asking you to “toughen up” or abandon your authentic leadership style.

Will this coaching make me less sensitive? . . .

No — the goal is not to “fix” your sensitivity. Instead, we explore how to harness it as a strength while building tools to reduce overwhelm, manage stress, and maintain balance.

What if I’m not sure I’m an HSP? . . .

That’s okay. Many clients are drawn to this coaching because they relate to the experience of being deeply affected by their environment, easily attuned to others, or sometimes overstimulated by stress and demands. We can explore whether the HSP trait resonates with you as part of our work.

Can HSP leaders really thrive in competitive or high-pressure environments? . . .

Yes, it's possible. But the organisational culture, people, systems, also matter. HSP leaders often bring perspective, empathy, and creativity that organisations urgently need. With the right support and strategies, you can lead effectively without burning out or hiding who you are.

How do I get started? . . .

You’re welcome to book a complimentary introductory conversation. This gives us space to talk about your context, what’s challenging, and whether this coaching feels like the right support for you.
