You’ve found your way to this page, which means you or someone you care about may be affected by trauma. Or maybe you’re not sure, but it’s on your mind.

Whether you feel clear or uncertain, I want to acknowledge that you are here and that I work with clients who are navigating the impact of trauma.

What is trauma and why does it matter?

Trauma means wound. It doesn’t just fade with time; if unrecognised, it often resurfaces and makes growth and development especially challenging. Healing and growth are deeply connected — both are about integration, not avoidance.

Trauma takes many forms, for example:

  • cPTSD (developmental or relational trauma)

  • PTSD

  • Emotional neglect

  • Addictions

  • Nervous system breakdown or overload

It can show up as flashbacks, chronic health conditions, relationship difficulties, low self-worth, loneliness, insecurity, or simply a sense that life feels harder than it should.

Just as a wound cannot heal if only covered by a plaster, unresolved trauma continues to shape our lives until it is met with care.

What is trauma-informed coaching?

A trauma-informed coach does not diagnose or treat trauma directly. I am not a trauma clinician or trauma therapist. Instead, I provide a safe, supportive space where trust, compassion, and courage can grow. We work gently and steadily, building awareness and resilience without re-traumatising.

This approach supports not only healing but also leadership, career development, and life transitions. Trauma doesn’t just affect our inner world; it ripples through families, communities, and workplaces. I often see its impact in leadership, teams, and organisational cultures.

A trauma-informed coach offers a safe, supportive environment that builds trust, healing, courage, compassion, and empowerment.

A trauma-informed approach can be very helpful also in transitions, building self-awareness, leadership development and career development. Noting too, that this work is particularly powerful for highly sensitive people (HSPs).

My personal and professional journey

Over the years, I’ve come to see that many of my clients are carrying some form of trauma. This has also been true for me. Even after decades on the planet, I continue to meet my own history and its echoes in the present.

The field of trauma research is growing rapidly, and neuroscience is giving us language for experiences like emotional shock, emotional flashbacks, and complex PTSD. We also know now that healing is multi-layered, involving body-based somatic embodied therapies, creative expression, talking therapies, and compassionate support.

I chose to train as a Certified Trauma-Informed Coach because I recognised that without this lens, even the best-intentioned coach can unintentionally cause harm. I never want that. My aim is to work in ways that honour your safety and timing, and where appropriate, to connect you with other supports if they may help.
