The Enneagram in the Carpark

The other day I caught myself doing something curious. In a big open-air car park with plenty of options, I circled, hesitated, and then chose a space that probably looked unnecessary or inconvenient to anyone watching.

When I thought about it, I realised it might be my Enneagram Six showing. I like to have an exit strategy. I park where I can leave easily and avoid being boxed in. My nervous system feels calmer knowing I have a way out.

It made me wonder what our everyday habits reveal about the deeper instincts driving us.

If you know your Enneagram type, how might you park?

One might aim for precision. Another for comfort. Some for speed. Some for space.

Our personalities don’t just shape how we lead or relate, they show up in the smallest, most ordinary moments too.

I've written more about this, including a list of each type's potential parking strategy, in my latest article (no paywalls) if you're curious: here.
